| Introduction | I've lived most of my life in between the United States and Nicaragua. I have always been in between the two countries and their respective cultures, in that gray area where I belong and yet do not belong to either one. I have created this blog to in order to explore, share and understand my bicultural perspective. My current hometown is Austin, Texas. Typically, I come back to Nicaragua, where I am originally from, once a year during Christmas. This time, however, I have come back to Managua during the summer and I will be spending the next two months here. I have decided that it is time to document my particular brand of mental acrobatics and how I go about shifting gears-- from American to Nicaraguan and back again. |
