| Introduction | I started knitting about 6 years ago when I became envious of all the cool stuff that my sister was making. I learned jewelry design a few years later. The name West of Stepford came to me when I was working at the Portland Women's Crisis Line. I was talking with a co-worker who did outreach to sex workers, and I said, "I think sex workers would have a hard time relating to me. I'm a little bit Stepford." I am a little bit Stepford, but I've spent way too much time working in the movement to end domestic violence to be totally Stepford. Now I'm growing my etsy shop. |
