About me

Introduction I have been a keen birder since my early teens and have always lived in East Norfolk. I'm also keen on Butterflies, Dragonflies and moths. I'm fairly well travelled (with my 2 most noteworthy birds probably being Slender-billed Curlew in Morocco and Panders Ground Jay in Uzbekistan) but have eased up on foreign travel in recent years. Over the past couple of years I have developed an interest in photography using Canon 7D mk ii & 80D bodies with 100-400 mm L lens (usually with a 1.4 convertor) and 100 mm f.28L macro. I live in Hemsby (about 8 miles north of Great Yarmouth) and work as a bridge operator on Great Yarmouth Breydon Bridge. Follow me on Facebook and Twitter (@caisterbirder). (Caister being where I lived for many years).
