I'm a Nurse who would rather be growing things, playing the piano, stirring up something to bring smiles, writing a story, or...riding a horse.I am creating this recipe blog for the love of family, good food, and fun stories to remember. These recipes are the ones I know well, use often, and most likely I have changed them to fit my liking and my style. My style is rather simple. I like growing a large garden and either bottling or freezing the tomatoes, peppers,corn, fruits, jams, salsas and storing various squashes. I usually cook with my storage of staples, such as flour, sugar, oil, spices, dried beans of several varieties, rice, and wheat, etc. The recipes I use feature simple ingredients, but there is nothing simple about the taste and texture I strive for.
