| Introduction | Hi I'm Karen. At age 54 I was diagnosed with gluten intolerance. After years of gastrointestional pain and suffering the cause was finally identified. I had also developed fibromyalgia, had frequent migraines,increased environmental and food allergies, frequent episodes of nosebleeds, anemia and tingling and twitching in my limbs. I had been told over 20 yrs ago I "just had IBS". After visiting a neurologist for ongoing lower back pain with neurological changes, she suggested I get tested for celiac disease. She saved my life. After 2 weeks I noticed a decline in the neurological symptoms and a lot less stomach pain. In this blog I want to share with you my journey of learning to live gluten free and recovering my health and strength. |
