| Introduction | After a lifetime in the church, including well over thirty years as a clergyperson, I have seen a lot, thought about a lot, written a lot, and said a lot regarding the subjects of this blog. Some of it has been useful. Some likely has challenged the commandment pertaining to the vain use of God's name. I am not alone in that. I also do not promise it won't happen again. Upon stepping away from the pulpit and leadership in the church, my intention was to do more thinking, writing, and if the occasion were to arise, speaking on the matter. So, here we go. I am not on any crusades, or grinding any axes. For good or for ill, this simply is how it seems to me. |
