Industry Arts
Occupation Visual artist/retired Opera Coach
Location Dripping Springs, Texas, United States
Introduction I am a fully retired Opera Coach who has recently found her passion in the art of Soft Pastel Painting. I'm thrilled and enjoying my new successes. I'm a mother of two amazingly perfect sons, and one daughter who is in non-physical but who is ever present in my family life. I love my time with my animals: 5 horses, chickens, a poodle and soon a full sized donkey! I love that which is uplifting and earthly at the same time. I can, given the time, find the good in all that surrounds me and for that I am eternally appreciative. My life is wonderful, and getting better, and better, and better....
Interests My wife and my two AMAZING sons, My Horses, Horses Horses, music, making art, my organic garden, my beautific chickens and my darling toy poodle, music - my tastes are eclectic, writing, studying the Law of Attraction as taught by Abraham-Hicks, learning to allow joy, collecting beautiful things and giving gifts randomly, appreciating, redecorating my home for no apparent reason, walking, making music, learning about what makes ME tick.... this list could be endless....
Favorite Movies Harold and Maude, National Velvet, Spirit, Brother Sun Sister Moon, Best in Show, Into the Wild, The Secret Behind the Secret, Fight Club if I'm watching it with my eldest, Avatar the Last Airbender if I'm watching it with my youngest, My own wedding video from 11/11/06 (Yay!) and I know there are others that I'm forgetting right now...
Favorite Music Wow, that's hard, as my tastes are eclectic. I'm going to have to admit that the best is listening to my sons, whether it be Nathaniel with his limitless talents with his voice and with any instrument he touches, or my young David with his exuberant air guitar and pure joy of the vibrations of the moment. Also David Wilcox, Martin Sexton, Bach for solo violin, Puccini's Tosca & so much more that I couldn't possibly list it all here... I can find MUCH to love in almost all music, including the soul soothing sounds of the country -- birds, wind, whinny of horses, patter of little feet... and the lack of car noises....
Favorite Books Ask and it is Given, The Amazing Power of Emotions, Boy's Life, Poisonwood Bible, Little Bear, The Good Pig, the poetry of Hafiz and Rumi, all M. Henry's horsey novels....Gourmet Magazine (yeah, I know it's not a book) I Know This Much is True, and poetry by my beautiful and talented wife...
