| Introduction | In the not so distant past, Michele moved away from Jenn in MD up to Boston. After a year there, she found a job which put her in front of the computer for most of the day. Jenn, also having an office job, now had someone to email with to escape from the doldrums of office life. The emails started flying, and soon the two found themselves exchanging e-cards at a furious rate, mostly Hoops and YoYo e-cards. Since sending them with their real names was boring, they came up with some creative names. These names followed a pattern: Talk Show Hosts, Friends characters, etc. Around Thanksgiving all the titles were food themed (mashed potatoes, stuffing, etc.) Around Christmas they went through the reindeer (including Rudolph and Olive) and favorite Christmas songs. Anyways, you get the idea. Well, eventually the e-cards were no longer free and the ones that were, were not ones they really wanted to send to each other. Luckily, around the same time, Gchat was invented. And ever since AIM went into the blackhole of oblivion, Gchat was the answer to many prayers! Now Michele and Jenn could chat whenever they wanted (in between actually working of course ;o))! |
