| Introduction | I am a high school English teacher turn stay at home mom. I am happily married, and I have a son and a daughter. Turning from being a successful teacher to a full time mom is a trial and error process. This is the hardest job I have ever done. I used to have breaks in my day. I used to go to the bathroom by myself all the time. There is not a moment of downtime when you are at home. I never have an awful day, but I do have yucky moments. There are more wonderful unforgettable moments that I am proud to be part of than the yucky ones. Although it is hard to pause to wipe a little guy's bottom at the same time as talking on the phone, trying to get lunch ready, and stopping the baby girl from falling off the stool in the bathroom, there will be a day in the future, not too distant future where I will not be needed to do that wiping job. And as silly as it sounds, I just might miss it; I know I will miss it. I am trying to stop and recognize all the moments in life. I started this blog to share some of my passions: my love and devotion to my family and my love of cooking. My hope is I am able to help others by sharing my successes and failures with cooking and mommihood. |
