| Introduction | I gave birth at home, breast fed, and was a stay-at-home mom for 8 years. I'm also a mom who fed her kids processed hot dogs(!) and used the TV as a babysitter for countless hours of my boys' childhood. I'm a mom who trusted her gut, trying desperately to not compare myself to the Joneses, and trying equally hard to listen for my children to show me what they really needed. Those last qualities are the ones that saved me. If anything resonates here, I hope it is encouragement for you to trust yourself. If you made it through another day of parenting traps and tests, then you have passed. Congratulations! |
