| Introduction | Mary Hambly is a native of Washington state. Bloomington, Indiana was her home from 1988 until May 2021 when she moved back to Washington. Mary studied art as an undergraduate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. And was awarded an MFA degree with a studio concentration in Textiles by Indiana University in 1991. This blog is devoted to sharing her evolution as a textile artist and her work with the Paper Art Quilt. Expanding on her fascination with paper in all its forms and her appreciation of texture and color, Mary began creating paper art quilts in the summer of 2008 and her work has been shown throughout the mid-west since then. Mary currently resides in Washington state and continues to practice her paper art. |
