| Introduction | I am a 33 year old male from BC, Canada. My interest in internet security and privacy began a few years ago, when my PC became infected with a computer virus. All of a sudden my computer seemed to develop a mind of its own, rebooting constantly or freezing to a "black screen of death". Also my operating system, which at the time was Windows ME, slowed to a crawl. Oddly enough my antivirus program mysteriously turned itself off as well. Finally, I reinstalled my antivirus software, discovering that my computer had been infected with a nasty virus. Unfortunately, I cannot remember what virus my PC was infected with, but I ended up having to reformat my hard drive. |
