| Introduction | Hello, my name is Eric. I am a 10 year veteran of the United States Marine Corps. I was an aircraft mechanic on F/A-18 Hornets A models through D models. I am a father of 2 wonderful sons. My oldest is 20 and in the Army currently serving in Kuwait. My youngest is 2, yes a bit of an age difference. My oldest also has 2 daughters, my granddaughter, one 4 and the other 1. I love them all very much. I am a die hard Texan. I am an avid Civil War re-enactor, and currently am the Captain of the 11th Texas Cavalry Co. A. We are a prewar and early war Confederate re-enactment group. We also represent the 1st Texas U.S. Volunteer Cavalry. Both impressions are dismounted impressions. The main way cavalry was used in the Civil War was dismounted, not mounted as perceived. They were usually the first ones in most battles fighting on foot as skirmishers. |
