| Introduction | Patrick Gorman Pettis was born Thanksgiving Day 1971 in Bellvue New York. Surrounded by horses and nature in the area of Upstate New York, with it's long hard winters and brief warm summers, enhanced the artist's respect and love for the natural element in his creative process. Each piece is enhanced by using the inks, stains and dyes that he makes himself from plants, leafs, barks, even fruits and flowers. The colors seem alive and even appear to change in different lighting. As an emerging artist riding the rising popularity wave within the Outsider Art Movement, Patrick's body of work has reached a greater population catching attention from high profile clients. For over twenty years his modern impressionist styled pieces have been featured in private collections around the world. |
