Introduction	I have been teaching piano lessons since 1997. Prior to that, I loved learning the piano in private lessons for eleven years. I will always be grateful my parents provided me with that opportunity. It will be something I'll be able to enjoy the rest of my life. Not only that, but now I've been able to share that love of music with others. It's thrilling to observe a student's enthusiasm as they realize the beautiful sounds coming from the instrument are caused by their fingers! There's a definite pride that is felt when your student works hard and achieves their goals! I have high expectations for my students but no higher than I have for myself. I pride myself on being honest, compassionate, and unafraid to encourage my students push beyond themselves to excel. I think that's what makes me a good teacher. My students have entrusted me to teach them what they need to know to succeed and I feel a responsibility to be worthy of that trust.
