| Introduction | I like thunderstorms, soaking in a hot bath and drinking white wine. I don't like people who lie, science fiction or brussel sprouts. I need to exercise to feel good, my kids around me to make me happy and a clean house to make me feel calm. I don't need money to define who I am, a hundred friends to make me feel important or to turn into a "Stepford Wife" to fit in. I want to have more confidence, to run another half marathon and to raise happy children. I don't want my children to grow up without learning compassion for others, weeds to grow in my flower beds or pineapple on my pizza. I understand that my children will "do as I do", my choices are confusing to many and that what I do is more important than what I say. I don't understand any kind of prejudice, cheating to get ahead or why there is such a range of poverty vs wealth in the world. I am going to school, learning to love the gym and trying to accept myself. I am not any where near perfect, nor am I trying to be and I'm not going to change my views because you disagree with them. |
