| Introduction | Narciso Polanco was born in Santiago, a complex cultural city titled as the second capital of the Dominican Republic. He was appointed vocal of the Alliance of Dominican American Visual Artists (ADAVA) effective July 5, 2009. Previously, he served as president of Artistas Plasticos Unidos (APLAUS of Santiago, D.R.). He was a member of FotoGrupo, in Santo Domingo and currently a member of Grufos, located in Santiago Dominican Republic. He also was a photography professor at the Institute of culture and Art (ICA in Santiago, D.R.). Having taught at the ICA in Santiago, he was also a painting introduction teacher for children at the Cultural Center Dominico-Americano. He has participated in numerous photography and painting exhibitions in the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Peru and New York. |
