About me

Gender Female
Occupation Fine Art Painter & Graphic/Web Designer
Location Texas
Introduction Rebecca turned her attention back to fine art in 2003, though still maintains a full-time day job as a Graphic Designer. Rebecca has worked in many media, but has settled on painting in acrylics and water-soluble oils to express herself. Rather than focusing on a specific subject matter, Rebecca relies on a high level of detail and a strong sense of light to tie her work together. Viewers often comment that they feel as if they could step into her paintings; as if the frame was a window to another world. Rebecca has won awards in local and national juried shows. She was included in the 2010 book the Best of Worldwide Watermedia Artists Volume II published by Kennedy Publishing and is represented by several galleries (visit her website for a complete list). Rebecca is also an active volunteer in her local art club as webmistress and chairing their juried show for several years. In the summer of 2008, Rebecca was diagnosed with a rare primary immune deficiency called hypogammaglobulemia (or CVID). She receives infusions of IgG antibodies every 3 weeks and encourages everyone to donate plasma from which this lifesaving medicine is derived.
