Introduction Thank you for visiting my blog! I am a kindergarten teacher for the York Region District School Board (Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada), who has been teaching for the last seven years. During this time I have been fortunate to learn about a variety of early childhood approaches (Reggio Emilia and Emergent Curriculum, Montessori, Project Approach, Constructivism, Inquiry-based learning, Play-based learning, Mosaic Approach, Waldorf, and Emergent Literacy) through my Masters in Education at York University. With every article I read, lecture I attend, and colleague that I collaborate with I continue to refine my classroom environment and teaching practices. I hope that this blog makes visible our changes (September 2011) and daily learning discoveries. Please use this blog as a source of inspiration for you, students, children, grade team, faculty, or whoever you wish to share it with! May I suggest that it be an entry point of where you might begin, rather than a recipe or formula to be copied. We appreciate you respecting that the writing and ideas from this blog are our intellectual property, and as such can be made reference to. Enjoy your visit!
Interests Yoga, photography, interior design/classroom design, graphic design, visual arts, travelling, and learning more about early childhood!
