| Introduction | I’m a 100% Disabled Army Veteran, I currently teach and preach for a Southern Baptist church, and I love ministry. I live with three autoimmune diseases, diabetes, fibromyalgia and lupus, so I have my good and bad days. I have visible and invisible service connected disabilities all of this together makes it hard to do things, I get knocked down but I fight back, I don’t let my disabilities run my life or define who I am. I’m an advocate for lupus awareness because it is a debilitating disease that makes your bodies immune system attack everything in your body, this is the hardest thing to live with. It is by the Grace of God that I am able to do the things I do, and be able to have energy everyday, there are days where I have to realize I have to rest and not do so much. |
