| Introduction | I am a board certified family physician, fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians currently working at Southwest Medical Associates in Las Vegas Nevada. Southwest Medical Associates is the largest multispecialty group in Las Vegas Nevada. We have 250 Medical Providers and 12 clinics in the Las Vegas area. We are owned by United Healthcare. We are certified as a Level III Patient Centered Medical Home. During my more than 30 years of medical practice, I have had a chance to experience a wide variety of medical practice settings, outpatient, hospitalist and ER including private practice in Lebanon and California, Critical Access Hospital in Arkansas, Community Health Center in California and Patient Centered Medical Home in Las Vegas, Nevada. I also had a chance to work with various Electronic Health Record Systems serving as a superuser on ACT MD which is an EHR that I personally developed. Care Series Purkingi, Eclinical Works, Nextgen and Allscripts Enterprise. I would like to share my experience and I truly believe that the Patient Centered Medical Home is the best system to provide the highest quality, most accessible medical care at the most affordable cost. |
