What did you dream when you ate a spider while sleeping?
I would venture to guess that spiders taste acidic and therefore cause those dreaming when ingesting them to dream violent dreams. That means that last week when I dreamed I was deflecting the slashes of some crazy man's knife and causing them to stab him instead, I was probably eating a spider.
