IntroductionPlucky Trickster, Agente Provocateuse, Myth-Mender, Blacksmith of Impossibility. All about using humor and hope to light our way through The Great Turning.
InterestsI can take an interest in just about anything (even for just a short period of time). Though I have to admit that when you start talking numbers/accounting/budgets/micro-economics, what I tend to hear in my head is, "BZZZZZZZZZZZZ."
Favorite moviesA Midwinter's Tale; The Shawshank Redemption; Pixar Trilogy: Monsters, Incredibles, and Nemo; Hellboy (loved Ron's performance); Henry V & Much Ado (Branaugh); surprised by how much I liked Michael Clayton (the performances!); Tootsie; The Secret of Roan Innish; PassionFish; and since you're not asking about TV in a separate box, I will wax rhapsodic about Battlestar Galactica and West Wing.
Favorite musicCurrently listening to Ray LaMontagne, A3, Maroon 5, Rani Arbo and Daisy Mayhem, Jack Johnson, Nellie McKay, Grace Potter. Curious to hear more Rasputina. Just found my old collection of Uncle Bonsai, and I still love them!
Favorite booksAnything by Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Barbara Kingsolver. Currently on a 2nd read of Bill Bryson's A Short History of Nearly Everything. Yaaay science! The History of Love. Midnight's Children. Forever influenced by Another Roadside Attraction, Jitterbug Perfume, and Robert Heinlein's later sci-fi proto-porn.

When you open your eyes underwater, do you ever worry that you'll drown?

I never - and I mean NEVER - open my eyes underwater. Not even with goggles. My one true phobia. I'd rather crash into the side of the pool, the other swimmers, or the approaching shark.
