IntroductionRetired Systems Engineer with experience in spacecraft flight and ground systems development, integration and test, with focus on operations planning for the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) EOS (Earth Observing System) AM-1 Spacecraft. Authored the Flight Operations Management Plan and Co-authored the Launch Operations Study. Served as Operations Lead for NASA on the Attached Payload Accommodation Equipment (APAE) for Space Station Freedom. Represented NASA (GSFC) on Space Station Freedom Working Groups and Review Panels. Managed the Landsat "D" (4) Training Program at GSFC and worked on NASA Life Sciences DEO Program in Washington. Earlier work included the GE TF39 engine program for the USAF C-5A cargo aircraft. Also worked in Human Resources. Wiley's Place is in memory of a quieter and slower pace of life, and of people driven to succeed. You can’t see Washington, DC, or any other city from Willey’s, but you can find family and even friends who will help you get there and beyond. Wiley doesn’t get around much any more, but he dreams of a better tomorrow, and tries to harvest some level of understanding of current events from today’s short subjects media!
