| Introduction | Since 2013, David Alvarez has served as the Florida area sales manager of ACell, Inc., based in Tampa. In this role, he is responsible for managing a group of 12 sales professionals, and for bringing in new talent. He also develops the strategic plan for key markets, handling the most sensitive accounts in those sectors. In 2016, David Alvarez increased sales in his ACell area by 15 percent, earning his group Area of the Year distinction. During his tenure at the company he has received other honors, including Manager of the Year.
In light of his work training surgeons in the use of the company’s products, Mr. Alvarez maintains important relationships with relevant organizations, such as the American College of Surgeons, in whose Symposium on Wound Care he participated. Prior to entering the workforce, Mr. Alvarez earned a bachelor of science in economics from Florida State University, graduating in 1990. In addition to his academic accomplishments, he was recognized as a varsity letterman and member of the school’s football team. |
