| Introduction | Since the mid 90’s I’ve fronted The Racketeers as we brought our brand of americana / rock n roll to the interested and the tone-deaf alike, releasing five albums along the way. Our adventures took us from the lowlands of Holland to the Arctic Circle, through the Baltics and beyond. Germany, Scandinavia, Switzerland, Spain. If the money was right and there was a place to kip, we would turn up and put on a show of sorts. In recent years I’ve also toured in a solo / acoustic capacity, throughout Europe the USA and Canada. The 2006 album Silver & Dust was produced by Paul Thomas, best known for his work with The Dubliners, Nikki Sudden, Thin Lizzy and early U2. The new album, Mansions of Gold was produced by Les Keye and like its predecessor is released on German label Cannery Row Records. Hot Press magazine said “there’s something raw and real about The Racketeers that’s easy to love."......And that sounds fine by me. - E |
