| Introduction | Santimanitay is my view outside the cave. What do I write about? Anything, really, once it excites my curiosity. As a journalist I occasionally wrote criticism, but I was often too critical, and now avoid it. Many people should be pilloried, more today than ever, but I leave that task to others. I rather give kisses than kicks. Or maybe as one gets older we’re more inclined to being a teacher than a cop. Why a public blog and not a personal journal? Maybe it’s arrogance, but not more than that of any other writer. We all share our words and thoughts as if they matter. I prefer to consider myself akin to the cook who enjoys preparing elaborate meals as much for friends as for himself. And if I manage to fumble around outside Plato's cave, shouldn’t I share it? |
