Introduction	Hello, My name is Lauren and I'm 25 years old. I’m a kind, caring, shy, sometimes stubborn person with a special heart. I was born with a Congenital Heart Defect called Tricuspid Atresia, Hypoplastic Right Heart or "Half a Heart". My parents and the doctors did not know anything wrong with me when I was born. I was about 11 weeks old & in severe heart failure by the time I got to a Children's Hospital. I've had two open heart surgeries. My Pulmonary Artery Banding at 6 months & my Fontan Procedure at 2yrs. old. I've had two heart caths, three eye muscle surgeries, hundreds of tests, & the list goes on and on. Despite everything I've been doing relatively well. I have a blessed life. I have a strong faith. I love to write, be with family, bowl, hang out with my husband, & so much more. As of now I recently got married & graduated college with a Psychology degree..as well as moved cross country. I plan on being a Child Life Specialist, but I also want to continue to impact the CHD world the best way I can. There is so much more to my story… So please join me as I tell it…
