| Introduction | Hello! Thanks for vising. The name for this blog was inspired by my grandmothers, Carolyn Gumm and Ruthe Dahlseng. Both grew up around the Depression era and lived on farms in Minnesota for most of their lives. Both knew how to be frugal, garden, make fresh and healthy meals and the importance of reinventing old items into new using the sewing machine. I am wanting to apply these skills to my life as a mother of two (with another on the way). As well as apply them in new ways to my life as an apartment dweller in Chicago. Here we go! |
