Introduction Greetings! I am, at heart, a small farm supporter and traditional food explorer. A longing to once again enjoy foods from my German/Polish heritage has inspired me to find recipes that use ingredients my grandmother would have used and bring back those flavors that I remember from my childhood. My grandmother lived to 95. I miss her and her cooking, so I am trying to learn and relearn how to make the foods I grew up eating. As my Polish relatives toasted over dinner, they said, "Sto lat!" Like most toasts it is a nod to "your health," but it literally translates to "100 years." So, in looking back to foods made a century ago, may we all live a hundred years to enjoy them!
