| Introduction | At present I operate a small cooking school in Somerville at the Brickbottom artist building, www.artepicure.com. My parents owned and operated a restaurant in Townsend MA that featured traditional New England cooking, This is where I got my first taste of Kitchen life. Also, this is where I got my first taste of sourcing as much as possible from nearby producers and purveyors. In addition to working most of my life as a chef I have taught culinary history at Tufts University and serve as an occupational specialist on the National Accreditation Board for Culinary and Vocational Schools. I am an active member of Les Amis d’Escoffier, Chef’s Collaborative, The Culinary Historians of Boston, Somerville Local First, Culinary Guild of New England and Slow Food. |
