| Introduction | Valerie Williams-Sanchez is the author of Valerie’s Vignettes and principal of Valorena Online, L.L.C. Before entering the blog-o-sphere, she was a journalist for many years in the US and Spain including stints with Associated Press, Madrid, the Miami Herald and the Long Beach Press Telegram. Valerie has written and contributed to articles and essays in The Los Angeles Times, National Geographic, Orange County Business Journal, and most recently to More Magazine, online. She holds a Bachelor’s in English from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master’s in Journalism from Columbia University. Valerie includes drinking, reading and writing creative yarns about hot cocoa, and chocolate among her passions. A Southern California native, she currently resides in Rockland County, New York. Now an empty-nester, she has one college-aged daughter, Lorena. Valerie is a breast cancer survivor. |
