Introduction	Amanda is a pop-culture-obsessed writer with lots of opinions. She has written for TV via the Disney Channel, MTV and the WB (remember those?). She has also written for several publications including InStyle, The New York Daily News, Variety and a plethora of teen mags such as CosmoGirl, YM and Twist where she was forced to ask twentysomething pretty boys "boxer or briefs?" one too many times. She is a founding member of E! Online and served as their first TV columnist. In recent years, she has made a career change to Independent College Counselor just in time to ride the Varsity Blues scandal wave. Fortunately, she much more identifies with the James Van Der Beek teen flick, Varsity Blues, as she is one of those adults who actually enjoys working with teenagers. Newly single, Amanda is raising her own coming-of-age creatures while she, too, writes her own coming-of-a-certain-age story.
