| Introduction | Once upon a time, two young women met at a high school in inner city Long Beach, once attended by Snoop Dogg. (Cameron Diaz too, but more on that later.) Because one had a name that frequently caused her to be mistaken for someone of ethnic descent, she was admitted to Harvard University. The other nobly exiled herself to the wilderness of Michigan (we don't know where that is either), where she spent four years pining for the marginally better weather of London. Separation proved long and difficult, and when the latter brilliantly worked her way into the hearts of London School of Economics (LSE) admissions officers, the former jumped on the bandwagon. Thus a blog was born. These are the continuing tales of Kathryn and Siodhbhra, bold Yankee adventurers in a strange and rainy place. |
