| Introduction | I have been lured to creative endeavors since childhood; writing, photography, crafts, sewing and more. It wasn’t until recently that I tried again at painting, something which I had stopped doing as a child. The catalyst was a somewhat abstracted painting at an art festival. Sure, it had realistic elements, but the painting had added texture, odd little blocks of color, and very simple lines. I was captivated; I just had to try something like it. I broke out my box of unused paint and began to play. Since that fateful day, I am slowly learning to enjoy the journey, not the necessarily the destination. I love to watch the different hues, bending, refracting and mingling with each other. It is fascinating to see how they evolve and how they finally finish. I also love texture and how color settles into texture. I enjoy experimenting with many different techniques, going through different phases. I have not yet settled into a unique style which says "me", but hey, it may well be that I never will- Like water, I am flowing - no real destination- just flowing and turning sliding bouncing splashing and reflecting light. |
| Interests | interests- dang- I have way too many interests. "The world is my hobby" I love animals, art, archaeology, history, anthropology, horses, photography, painting, computers, British comedies, BOOKS, sewing, knitting ( I am trying to learn)and I'll add more as I think of them...as if you even care! Ha! |
| Favorite Movies | I am not a big movie person. I am not a sophisicated movie person. I don't know the names of very many actors and have been called "pop culture challenged". Here is a short list Star Wars, LOTR, Cars, all the HP movies. I just asked my daughter and she reminded about Holes. I think that is a cool movie - very well done. |
| Favorite Music | All kinds of music- as a teen I loved country. I have kind of fallen away from that- it's depressing. I like rock, U2, Police, Queen and many more. I told you, I am not good with names. I also like Classical, Opera, Jazz, Big Band. I don't like Hip/hop much, I find it too disrespectful towards women, bleh. |
| Favorite Books | BOOKS- I love books. I will read almost anything anyone puts in front of me. But I especially love Fiction-- Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Mystery, classics. Tell the truth, I haven't read very many on the best seller lists. Oh, Harry Potter... Loff, the HP books. Robert Ludlum. History books. How to art books |
