| Introduction | I am a very early riser. I find early morning to be the best time of the day. Nobody calls and there are no interruptions. It's completely my time. That's when I like to write. My brain works better early in the morning. I also love to eat. I walk to keep fit and trim. During good weather I walk down the lane and along our ponds, but during the winter I'm forced to use the treadmill. I find listening to talking books a good way to take my mind off the boredom of walking indoors. I've co-authored a compelling memoir with my brother, Bill, A SPECK IN GOD'S EYE; and during the writing of our book I won numerous creative writing awards. I am also a self-taught artist and live with my husband on our 105 acre farm in east central Wisconsin. For the past 25 years I've driven a school bus. |
