| Introduction | Born and raised in Ames, Iowa, with the idea of work hard, party hard, and Rock n' Roll, Mitch left Ames, (and America) after graduating high school in 1980, and began his life's adventures as an island rockstar and renowned dive instructor on the island of Grand Turk in the Turks & Caicos Islands (TCI). He has played with many bands and still performs 3 times weekly at the hotels on Grand Turk with the rocking and ripping rake n’ scrape band HIGH TIDE. Since 1987, he has released 6 albums including the 2010 compilation "Songs From The Beach". Still active with Blue Water Divers, Mitch also continues to work with both the TCI government and private sector to help with marine conservation programs. He has attended international seminars and looks forward to many more years of meeting and networking with people from around the world on common causes that help promote a higher awareness of the problems facing all the oceans today. Mitch also likes to flavor things with his sometimes unusual brand of humor and often finds it an effective means of communicating. Please join Mitch in his blog discussions.
