| Introduction | I'm a Midwest Girl. Originally from the South side of the Northwoods of Wisconsin, I now live in Hudson, WI & have an art studio in a converted 1914 carriage house. My background is in Art Education & Graphic Design with an emphasis in figurative sculpture. A few years ago, my sculptures started turning into colorful, textural paintings. Paintings are now my main focus, but I still occassionally make figures based on them. I'm continuously inspired by the charm of the small river town that I live in & its proximity to "big city" sophistication. I think that my paintings embody this spirit: "cheerful simplicity with a retro-modern edge" |
