Introduction	I have been a political activist since boyhood. After 32 years as a conservative Republican, including having served in various positions within the party's infrastructure, I became an independent in 2006 after the party turned its back on its principles and sold out its grassroots supporters, behaving like the Democrat Party with its own profligate domestic spending and debt raising, not to mention its cowardly retreat from its previous defense of personal liberties and social values that were the bedrock of the party's platform. Since we now have a government with members of each party treating us like peasants, I shall behave like a peasant and use this blog, my "pitchfork", to stick our self- styled rulers, both Democrats and Republicans, with the prongs of truth!
