| Introduction | I am currently the District 58 Toastmasters Governor, leading all Toastmasters in South Carolina. Developing future leaders is my passion. As a retired professor from the Medical University of South Carolina, I have done more than my share of mentoring medical students, physicians, fellows and faculty. In Toastmasters, we have a mixed group of individuals with varied talents, outlook and ambitions. It is Fun to help these individuals attain their full potential. I always tell them: "Find the Leader in YOU". Toastmasters International is the organization that develops future leaders through improving their confidence and communication skills. I love being with people and enjoy listening to the various speeches which are revealing of human nature. I would like to use this experience to develop further my counseling abilities to help companies and their employees in developing their confidence quotient. |
