Why does the taste of pennies remind you of losing a tooth?
I think it's because pennies are made out of copper and zinc and blood has zinc and iron in it, so you get the metallic taste from both. Since you bleed from your mouth when you loose a tooth you taste blood and when for some reason you put money in your mouth you taste the metal penny.
