Introduction Born and raised here in Colorado, I graduated from Olathe High School in 2002 and Mesa State College in 2006. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and have taught the language at the Montrose-Delta Technical College to adults, as well as done some private tutoring. In 2007, I married Joshua Berry and in 2008, we had a son, Mason. The first 6 months of his life I was blessed to stay home with him, then returned to work as the Site Coordinator at Olathe Middle School's 21st Century After School Program. Through this job I met some fabulous teachers and made some wonderful connections, but still desired to be with my little Mason each and every day. After expressing this desire to a co-worker, she suggested I open my own small daycare so I could stay home with my son and help out other families. I have always LOVED children, and teaching, so I decided to go for it! In August of 2009 I became licensed with the State of Colorado, and I opened Nurturing Nature Family Child Care in my home.
Interests Each day I strive to keep kids safe, healthy and always learning/exploring their world! I aim to foster a love for learning at a young age, implementing Spanish and Sign Language into our preschool learning environment. I also implement social/emotional skills such as sharing, making friends, working as a "team" into each day. At Nurturing Nature Family Child Care we sing, dance, create materpieces, do simple science experiments and share and care for our friends each and every day!
