| Introduction | The Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) is the most local, grassroots level of DC government, and weighs in on issues such as zoning, transportation, public safety and access to the District's basic city services. Another key role of being Commissioner is to keep constituents informed of issues affecting the neighborhood, and to get people's thoughts on the issues.
