Introduction | I grew up in the Bronx, a half-mile from Yankee Stadium. Yes, I'm a Yankees fan. Except for a few years during the late 60's (which were seriously weird in all respects) when I rooted for the Mets. Actually, based on the Yanks' season so far, the Mets are looking pretty good again.
I've been in Danbury for 22 years, about 15 minutes away from the low residency HQ. I have a wife and three kids, all very supportive. I spent 35 years working with computers, large and small, and it's great to be a mere end-user of these fiendish contraptions, rather than a guru. Yeah, I know "guru" dates me, but it says "non-mainstream authority" nicely. I have an MA in Writing from Manhattanville College, but I'm looking to the MFA to give me more of a professional edge. I also have a BS (very appropriate abbreviation) in Sociology taken during the twentieth century. |

When your science teacher smashed a frozen rose with a hammer, did you warm the petals to bring them back to life?
My teacher never did that. It never occured to me to feel deprived, until now.
