| Introduction | For as long as I can remember I’ve loved words. They are a connection to each other. They express emotion and thought. And as I grew older I understood they can have great power and should be used responsibly. I find comfort and joy in the beauty of the natural world. I value kindness and honesty. My heart hurts when children believe that because of the color of their skin they have to settle for less than their dream. I believe we are here to do the best we can; and to help each other through life. Writing is my way to connect, to express, and to share. I try to promote kindness, honesty, and justice.
