| Introduction | I am an artist living in rural Western New York. I created this blog in order to display my paintings. I have been painting full time for ten years. The past two years I have concentrated on the study of composition with the help of the books Pictorial Composition by Henry Rankin Poore and Composition by Arthur Wesley Dow. In January of 2011, I decided to concentrate on a collection of bridges. A friend recently pointed out that this was symbolic of a bridge to a new life. My youngest daughter left for college in California in the fall. I attempt to paint the personality of the bridge through the filter of my intuition. I love to invent exotic skies and exciting water. |
| Interests | I run 20-30 miles a week. I've run 3 marathons, hiked the Long Trail in Vermont from the Mass. Border to Canada, whitewater canoe and kayak, ski, snowboard, cross country ski. I love camping, climbing mountains windsurfing and sailing. I have a lot of energy. |
