| Introduction | I'm retired, live in Southern California, majored in English and writing in college. Was a probation officer in Southern CA for almost 29 years. Have 4 grandchildren, 2 daughters (both happily married). When younger, I enjoyed hiking and rockclimbing, some boating, karate. I have been painting watercolors for over 30 years, about a year ago I decided to take up acrylics and paint them opaquely (like oils) for an alternative to the transparent watercolor approach. A little over a month ago I decided to learn some Chinese Brush Painting, after being inspired by the story of the great Japanese artist Hokusai.
