| Introduction | Here starts the chronicles of my post-academic life. I have a PhD and an MBA, which means that at the age of 34, I am finally liberated of exams, studying, and pouring over scientific papers and text books. And currently hold a real job in a cubicle. As an Asian female, youngest in her family, I am constantly torn between what I want to do (have fun, continue renting) vs. what my family wants me to do (buy a condo, get married). This chronicle is about my life as an East Coast born Asian female now living in the Bay Area (because there are differences between East coast and West Coast Asian Americans...). Nonetheless I am enjoying the ride of this new chapter in life. |
