Occupation Ceramista.

Introduction All of my work is hand made using a combination of traditional building techniques along with contemporary modeling skills I have incorporated along my way. I decorate the surface using a technique called Engobe Infinital. I discovered this technique in Argentina in 1977. It is based on a traditional surface treatment that dates back to the Pre – Incan Cultures of the Nazca and Moche in my country, Peru. The biggest difference in my technique is that, unlike my predecessors, who spent hours and hours polishing their pieces to get sheen. I can brush my Engobe Infinital on quickly and realize a brilliant shine which resembles the quality that I am so drawn to on those historical pieces. YAMUNAQUE.
