Introduction I work from home as an editorial assistant in behavioral health research. After years of doing work that bored me to despair (with a 7-year respite of fun as a radio announcer), it is a joy to work with those who are trying to make the world a better place. My housemates are an incredibly brilliant Aussie/Border Collie (Quilla) and six unique and loving felines, ranging in age from 9 to 17! Until developing CFIDS in 2003, I was an active walker, swimmer, dancer, and actress. After grieving for all the illness stole, I began to value this phase of my life. I would prefer to be strong and active but I’m thankful for what ailing has taught me. I earned my BA in English at the University of Oregon, graduating magna cum laude in 2008 (it just took 40 years). Now I'm an autodidact (it costs less and I don’t get grades or have to write papers), with interests ranging from Iris Murdoch and the Beats to Thomas Merton, Buddhism, philosophy, and even Fortean phenomena. Recently, I began listening to the great radio shows from the 30s through the late 50s. My TV gets dustier each day!

Never mind the turtle. Don't you think you're sure to win?

I'd feel better if we didn't have to race at all. Can't we just hold hands and walk to the finish line together?
